Events

I LOVE shooting at events, I dabble in them all. I used to fight rodeo bulls but after an unfortunate turn in my health I had to step back. I was really struggling with my mental health after having to walk away from rodeo. A friend told me I had an eye for photography and I should try it out. I fell in love with capturing special moments and it let me stay connected to the world of rodeo I was grieving. Photography gave me my place back, in a different way but still so meaningful. Photos mean so much to me. Some of the best years of my life are captured in photos and they mean everything to me. So now I strive to capture those most meaningful moments for others.

Wildlife

When I’m struggling being stuck at home with my autoimmune disease, my husband gets me loaded in the truck and we go looking for wildlife. It’s so peaceful and freeing to capture the quiet moments of the creatures we share this world with. Sometimes they don’t know we’re there, sometimes they stare back at me like they can see right through my shields and into my soul. I will forever cherish the encounters I have with wildlife through my lens.

People

I’m not a people person, I’m on the autism spectrum and really struggle with social interactions. BUT I’ve come a long way and really enjoy my moments with people. I encounter a lot of different types and all of them impact me in some way. I love giving people photos that make them feel pretty, strong and brave and seen.

Scenery

When my husband and I go looking for wildlife we come across some pretty epic scenery too. The beauty of God's creation always leaves me breathless. I love capturing his glory and sharing it.

Livestock and farm life

I spent nine years of my childhood growing up on an acreage. I'd rather live in the country any day. The fresh air, thunderstorms, livestock right out your window. It's incredible, I don't currently live in the country so I make sure to take plenty of country life photos to keep me connected to that part of my life. Livestock will always hold a very special place in my heart.
